Here are the hospital pictures that were taken about 24 hours after Livia's birth. We were so amazed at how the photographer got these expressions from her. Everybody seems to have a favorite. Going from top to bottom, mine is #1 to the left because I like the expression of her hands...Grandma Marilyn loves #2 ...Let us know your favorite by clicking on the poll to the right.

Dan...you're an absolute pro at documenting your miracle of a daughter. In fact, I think you're doing far too good a job...upping the literary ante of these baby blogs. What are those? Famous quotes and aphorisms? Have you spent the last six days doing research for this? No wonder Sharyn and her parents had so much work to do. You could help with the baby, you know.

This post cracked me up - especially upon seeing the realization that Grandma Mari already beat you to the punch below. They should have a timer on these things just for these purposes.
Thanks for the compliments...we had a lot of experience reading your posts before hand to build upon. And it was just a couple of web searches involved in the quotes part. I know I probably won't be able to keep on looking up quotes or writing long narratives, but I figured I'd start the blog off right. I was up late at night anyway between feedings - I figure I may have a lot more of those nights to come You should think about adding the poll to your blog - especially if Ella or Alexey get a new bunch of hats from abroad.
Tell Gabriella to say hi to her friend "The Letter P" for me and tell Alexey his hair is still stylin'! Can't wait to see them, and you, soon.
